Aggressive Dogs

Allex Michael: After I had the consult at the Cochrane Animal Clinic, Ebbey and I went for a walk by the river and took some photos. We met several friendly dogs, then a male golden retriever tried to bite her face and made her whine. (One reason why I now severely limit our visits to off leash areas.) It's important to keep her socialized with strange dogs, but about 10 to 20 percent of the dogs are potentially aggressive.

There's a book called:
Pets at risk: from allergies to cancer, remedies for an unsuspected epidemic by Plechner, Alfred J., which suggests that many dogs now have endocrine problems and aggression could be one of the symptoms. Though alarming, it is an interesting book for pet owners which dispels some rumors about vaccinations, pet food and pet medications.
